The Changing of the Guard is held every Wednesday (except in July, August and September, and when there are official events or adverse weather conditions) at 11am in Puerta del Príncipe (entry on Calle Bailén).
Summer (Apr-Sep): M-Su and public holidays: 10am-8pm; Winter (Oct-Mar): M-Su and public holidays, 10am-6pm. The Royal Palace may cancel guided tours on days in which official functions are held.
Adult: 10€. Reduced ticket: 5€. (Ticket includes admission to the Official Rooms, the Chemist's, the Royal Armoury and Painting Gallery). Free admission: W & Th 3pm-6pm (Oct-Mar) and 5pm-8pm (Apr-Sep), for EU citizens, residents and work permit holders and citizens of Ibero-American countries.
